Ballsie Lite - Balanced to Single-Ended Converter
The Ballsie (Balanced to Single-Ended Converter) module is for folks wanting to convert balanced outputs (such as those of our DAC and I/V stages) for use with their single-ended audio gear.
Utilizing either a DIP-8 or SOIC op-amp (kits include either the LM4562MA/LME49720MA (National Semiconductor) or OPA2227PA (Burr-Brown) op-amp) and low-noise IRC 0.1% metal film resistors, this simple two-channel (stereo) circuit provide a clean and easy conversion.
An on-board relay prevents potential turn-off thumps, and optional output resistors add system connection flexibility. A DIP-8 is also included in the kit for easy op-amp changes.
The Ballsie Lite requires a 12-15V bipolar supply, such as our LCBPS or Placid BP.
