Hi,
I wondered if I can wire up the SPDIF Receiver module to output SPDIF back to an external connector while also sending PCM on to the Metronome? Reading the manual it seems possible with the recommended default jumper settings. There is a header for SPDIF in and also out. Does the signal go into the receiver, get reclocked, and then back out or is this just a couple of pads connected to the input to allow the original signal to be "split" out?
Either way I would like to pass the signal out of the back of the chassis on to another device. If this works will there be any degradation?
Thanks,
Paul

Is this the Wolfson receiver or the MUX?

This is the USB DAC/Receiver module based on the Texas Instruments PCM2707 USB DAC chip.
Thanks.

The USB module does not accept S/PDIF input. Are you sure you are not talking about the WM8804 S/PDIF Transceiver? Edited by user Tuesday, February 2, 2010 11:46:22 AM(UTC)

Thanks for the reply.
What I want to do is take the PCM output and wire it to my OPUS (I am already doing this now) and at the same time take the SPDIF output and wire it to another outside connector in order to pass through the signal to another device.
In other words can the 2707 send two outputs (SPDIF and PCM) at the same time and not compromise either?
Best,
Paul

No, it can only output one or the other.
