No problem. Will add construction lines (on a seporate layer) in order for people to easily add drill holes later on.

Here is a model of Corpius`s buffalo shield (added to my warehouse, search for gwise and you will find my models). I will make one more version of this with male headers at the connections instead of the female headers. The Arduino shield headers will remain the same in order to add a secondary shield on top of this.

Now the model of the shield has both female and male headers selectable as layers in the model. Will have a look at a BOM for mine and post if others want to go the same route as me. I`ll have a look at the other models now (construction lines). I will leave the layer visible when I upload the models so that you can easily see that the models have been updated. Neutrik connectors have also been uploaded (these are extremely detailed and exact).

There should be a few mega`s in the warehouse. Beware though quite a few of them are not accurate.

As for my control system. Well most likely I will replace the stacked uno + shield with the piggyback controller that Corpius is working on.

Edit: Placid HD and Placid HDBP bow have construction lines that points to the center of the 4 holes you need to drill.

I am looking forward to hooking up the VFD this week. Exited to see (literally) the display from my listening position. I may need to add a plexi plate in front of my current temporary front plate since I have redesigned the dac and must wait for the chassis to be made when I am done with the design. I dont think it will be up and running in the new case this year, so something less prototype would be nice. A plexi front painted from the rear should do it. That way I get protection for the screen as well. Oh well.

I uploaded a few models today that might be of interest. The IEC inlet from the extended BOM in the integration guide, and XLR`s as well as a BNC passthrough connector (neutrik). I will upload the neutrik rca as well when it is finished. These models are very accurate. Let me know if you find errors in them (PM me).

Nice design. The display seems larger to me than the 20x4 LCD., but I could be wrong

I have gone one step further and moved the headphone outputs to one side of the chassis and the rotary encoder to the other (to the side panels). I will use a plexi plate as front and paint it on the rear side and possibly laser etch some logo`s etc.

On other fronts. I have put the VFD and the io extender together and tested it. It was unfortunately not a drop in replacement as I had hoped, so further work on this will have to wait for a second arduino (I need to update the arduino in the dac and I have not made this easy for myself in the current chassis...).

Ooops I have at some point deleted the code that is running in my dac. Wonder if I can download it from the arduino somehow?

I think I will have to start over with the code. Not too much work if I can get the right starting point, but I will wait until I get the second arduino so that I can still use the dac with the current control system. I love having a remote ;)

I uploaded some models of hypex UCD, and there are some more to come when I am finished with them.
I also have a model of the Icepower 1000ASP, but that is too large for the sketchup online warehouse, so PM me if you need it.
