In building the Tri-Mono AVB-DAC I noticed that adding a BII as the 3rd DAC significantly increased noise in the .5MHz to 100Mhz range. This is actually audible as 'digital-sounding' white noise (I use very sensitive scan-speak tweeters and no passive crossover which show this up more than the 'usual' setup)

The BIIIs have this same noise - just not as loud.

I added a ferrite bead and a single loop between the DAC outputs and Legato inputs - which significantly reduced the noise, and made a noticeable improvement in sound quality. I can only just hear the same noise artefacts if I stick my ear right up to the speaker.

I am using the very latest series regs btw.

It appears the DACs generate a bit of HF noise that the regulation is not dealing with.

Anyone else come across this issue? - and has anyone else tried ferrite beads on the DAC outputs (I would recommend giving it a try)
