Hello,
The Avel Lindbergh Toroid does not have a ground wire as part of the primaries, and I'm curious why not.
Also, I ordered a toroid (from Toroidy in Poland) with 120v primary and it came with a ground wire. Should I use this ground wire? If so, should I connect it to the IEC ground or chassis ground point?
I currently just have IEC mains ground just connected to ground lug on chassis with no ground wire to or from an Avel toroid.

Thanks,
Doug

To clarify: I ordered toroid with 120volt primaries. It came with three primary wires (2 brown wires labeled 120volts and one green/yellow labeled 0Volts).
What is the green/yellow for?

Hi Dough,

I do to have R-Types with ground wire and a Toroidal without.
Don't know why.

I have the R-Types grounded to the Chassis using their groundwires.
The torroidal hasn't got a housing exactly. Just two big cup washers and a mounting bolt.
I think that will do as grounding.

Grtz,

Jordo
