At turn-on and minimum volume, I get maximum volume in the right channel. When I turn volumite up, the left channel comes in.
All connected as per the integration guide. Firmware chips removed from both DAC boards and ADDR jumpered on right channel board (although I hadn't done this at first and it was doing the same thing).

You need to have one controller in place. You can't remove both of them :)

There's a controller on the Volumite board. I removed the ones on the Buffalo II boards as per the integration guide.

Ah OK, buffalo II with volumite. That's good to know. :)

You have the volumite configured for dual mono?

PB1 connected to GND and GND, SDS and SDL hooked up to both boards, DVCC connected to one board. All as it should be. I even installed a new firmware chip on the Volumite as my original was a few years old and possibly only configured for stereo.

Problem solved. I think it was just a loose wire.

Dual Buffalo II/Ivy III with Tridents now fully operational and sounding melodious and mellifluous.
