Hello Russ, I was successfully able to get /// 15V steady (+) and (-) on the LCBPS. But I'm having no luck with the LCDPS Not sure what I'm missing. No voltage reading to adjust for the LCDPS. Pictures included. RED mmeter wire to (+) BLACK mm wire to (GND) I tested both sides. Please Advise Thanks Dave Datazone attached the following image(s): LCDPS-module-Side3.jpg (174kb) downloaded 21 time(s). LCDPS-module-Top2.jpg (218kb) downloaded 37 time(s). Dave, have you checked the partnumbers of the ICs and the orientation of the diodes and caps?

Hello Leon, I only built one board at a time - so the parts in the bag are what i used for each board. I believe the Orientation to be correct.. Do you by chance see anything wrong from the pictures, I posted the pics so Russ could take a look at them as I hear he as the eagle eye.. And the LCDPS works fine 15v (+) and (-) on the mmeter Thanks Dave Originally Posted by: LeonvB Dave, have you checked the partnumbers of the ICs and the orientation of the diodes and caps?

Well Hello Russ, Good Day Sir.. the wiring is the same as in the Picture I posted, about the over sized TBlocks attached Originally Posted by: Russ White Also check transformer wiring (not in the pictures) Datazone attached the following image(s): LCDPS-board4.jpg (153kb) downloaded 27 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Brown/Gray to (HOT) // black - AC // Blue/Violet to (NET) // white - AC // Ground // Green - AC // - to case temp until I have unit fully built Originally Posted by: Datazone Well Hello Russ, Good Day Sir.. the wiring is the same as in the Picture I posted, about the over sized TBlocks attached Originally Posted by: Russ White Also check transformer wiring (not in the pictures)

Have you measured the AC voltage entering the board. edit: check your parallel'ing primary Edited by user Tuesday, January 29, 2013 7:01:52 PM(UTC)

Super, that's fine.
Then try work your way through the circuit with the DMM. Next to measure is the DC across C3 / C4 and C5 / C6

Next up would be checking voltage at rectifier to see if any through hole eyelets were damaged to traces on top of board. With standard probes they can slip though so you must be careful. Some meters give you sharp probe pins to dig into the solder points. EDIT: Post delay, sorry, didn't see previous responses.... Edited by user Tuesday, January 29, 2013 7:31:54 PM(UTC)

From the pictures we can't see D3 and D4. Check orientation.

No, those are D1 and D2.
D3 and D4 sits in the shade of the heat sinks.

Check for AC here. At underside, of course. Edited by user Tuesday, January 29, 2013 7:56:25 PM(UTC)

I think that drilling out the holes has disconnected the bottom pads of the terminal block from the traces on the top that they are supposed to be feeding. (Do you have a third hand for taking those pictures?) Edited by user Tuesday, January 29, 2013 10:08:54 PM(UTC)
