Hello,

I have Buffalo24 connected to a LCDPS.
I adjusted DV to 6V, AV to 6.6V with DAC disconnected.
When I connect DAC, the DV drops to 3.8v while AV stays at 6.6V.
Is this normal?

Thank you.

Thats not how it should be. Could be that either the VD draws to much current or that your transformer is to small. What VA transformer do you use?

What are the values of the power resistors on the LCDPS?

Thank you steinholien,

It must be the transformer. I am using 10VA transformer with 2 9v tabs. I use one tab for DV and the other for AV. I thought 5VA would be enough, but obviously not. I will try with a different transformer.

Thank you

They are 10R 3w.

I replace the transformer with 15VA, and DV drops to 4.6V., but AV stays the same, 6.6V
Needs larger transformer?

Thank you

Try to replace the power resistors with something smaller. They limit the current in to the PSU. Something like 0-3 ohm should be ok. A 10VA transformer should work.
