Hi!
I'm in progress of building a new 8 ch DAC with: - One Buffalo III board - four Legato 3.1 boards - one exaU2I USB-I2S interface - Use the Buffalo III's integrated volumecontrol adding a sigle pot.
Questions: - What will I need for power-supply? - Will this be adequate to drive poweramps direct? - My idea is for 6 ch to power amps an two for headphones (sennheiser hd 800)- OK setup?

In your case I would suggest LCBPS x 4. Using one for 2 legatos.
yes you can easily drive the power amps direct.
This will be an awesome setup.

Basically simplicity and current.
I would also strongly suggest IVY vs legato here, but this will depend on if your primary use will be SE or balanced.
