I was considering mounting the pot in a small, remote box wired back to the JT controller, possibly using an XLR connector and microphone cable. I'm thinking that mounting a small additional cap (0.1uF?) at the board end of the "extended pot" would minimize possible noise/jitter.

Does anyone experience or thoughts on this?

Many thanks! - Ted

I made an extended harness for a customer who was using his JT in a car install. It was mounted in the back of the car, controlled by a pot in the dash. The cable I made was three 24ga wires twisted with a drill, 16ft long. It worked fine with no modifications to the circuit.
