Yes Russ, I selected the input header correctly for input #3. Like I mentioned, I used the toslink only for testing and I will not be using it when I put it in the enclosure.

Hardly matters how or when or even how long you used it, it doesn't take long to do the damage. :)

I have looked it over and honestly I can't think of any reason why this is happening, but it not a stock unit so really its difficult to say what could be wrong, as it could be any number of things.

If anything comes to mind I will post it.

One distinct possibility is a short on any of pins 1-4 on the CS8416 chip. Check for continuity between any of those pins.

Alright Russ, I will check for the shorts on any of pins 1-4 and see how it goes. Thanks for your support, meanwhile can you please respond to my pm on the WM8740 Opus Volumite problem I am facing? It will be greatly helpful.
