The Buffalo will lock to the SPDIF out straight from the USB, but not the mux. Any ideas on where I should look? The lock LED just flashes briefly and then turns off. Yeah, I just edited the post so indicate that. I have lock when I use SPDIF straight from my soundcard.

It does not respond on input 2 and I cant seem to figure out why. Any ideas on where I should look? Same control and input wiring as well as power works on a different mux.

It may be a missing part or bad part value. I assume you checked the terminal block solder joints...
