oh...good to know thanks.

in your manual though it s says 12 volts is fine(it does nt say it could fry a reg).

by your answer, did you imply it may be the source of the problem or it was just a warning?

I may have misspoke. You probably won;t fry them, but it does sound like they are overheating, causing the problems you are seeing. Try a lower voltage and see if it goes away.
