Having some trouble with my COD+IVY setup. The Metronome which is the source for them is tested and working good with my Opus module, but when I try the COD+IVY I get normal output on the right channel, but about 1.5V DC offset on the left channel output (of the IVY). If I remove the positive left channel signal wire from the COD to the IVY I get no DC offset. With only that wire installed (and not the GND or negative channel) I get 1.5V. The offset is in both positive and negative outputs. Any ideas?

Hi Timmy, will need a lot more information.
This likely has nothing to do with the metronome, but only the COD and IVY.
Pictures would help a lot.
Also double check your wiring and the IVY configuration.
Cheers! Russ

IVY checks out fine - by switching the input channels I could get each channel of the IVY to work properly by itself. It's only the left channel of the COD that's not working right. The metronome is working fine - it's configured for 96khz output and works great with my opus. I'm going to pull the COD PCB and double check everything to make sure the joints are all ok, then I'll see if I can get some pictures for you if nothing turns up. For now, the switch positions are: MONO 0 CHSL 0 FMT0 0 FMT1 0 DEM MUTE RST all open (nothing attached to the pins on the board). Edited by user Saturday, April 18, 2009 10:32:11 PM(UTC)

Got it - a pass over everything with the soldering iron and rewiring the boards as I put it back together fixed whatever the problem was, so it must have just been an assembly error on my part. Thanks.
BTW, this beats the pants off the Opus (without ivy) as far as I'm concerned!

Good Job Timmy. :) It always feels good to get a problem solved.
I too very very much like COD + IVY. I Was just remarking to Brian that it is a very much underrated DAC combo.
Cheers! Russ
