I have a Toslink module which I have connected to 5.25V and GND, however, the module is not lighting up red as you would expect to indicate it is powered. I have looked through the other posts and read about checking the voltage regulator pin nearest to the edge of the board to check I am getting 3.3V, which I am.

Does that mean the issue is with the TORX module?

Thanks

There will be no light, because it is a TORX receiver, not a transmitter.

Have you tried to use the output?

Thank you for your reply.

My mistake, I have tried connecting an optical output to the module but I have not got a lock from the DAC. I have four SPDIF inputs connected to the SPDIF-4 input module, including a coaxial input I have also tested which also doesn't lock. I am using sidecar to switch between the SPDIF inputs and USB input, which I have got working. I am using an Arduino connected to trigger pin B, driven high (3.3v) for I2S or low for SPDIF.

The arduino is triggering the sidecar and the USB inputs are working but i cant seem to get the SPDIF inputs to work. I have installed the resistors on the board for consumer level (75ohm for R and 0ohm for RS). Can you advise what I can try to get it working?
