AlexT has an old kit (board and a bunch of components not yet mounted). Recently bought and not build yet.
He want to buy the new board, adopt the components from the old kit and add the remaining.

Thanks, yes - that is what i mean.

I guess i'll wait for that BOM and see if older parts will work with new PCB with maybe a few changes. Can assemble Legato meanwhile

I just created a new thread for the Placid HD 2.0 Beta and moved the relevant posts to it...

Thank you avr300 and TPA! I completed the mod for C2 & C3, replaced C1 with 33000uf, and applied the mod for the error amplifier. Prior to the mods my Fluke 287 was reporting ~0.25mVAC on the Vout. Now ~mVAC is zero on Vout!

Many thanks Russ and avr300 - this thread helped me remove the ripple from my Placid HDs.

For the record, my VREF was very clean (at the base of Q6), but I had 6mV ripple on the outputs. The ripple must have been getting into the error amp via the emitters because the RC mod of Russ' fixed it.

My v2.1 Placids should arrive soon and I hope this does not happen again.

Cheers, thanks again,
p

Hi,

When applying the first mod (http://www.twistedpearaudio.com/forum/yaf_postsm18992_Ripple-at-output.aspx#post18992), how important is to keep 221Ohm? I've only 255Ohm 1/8w at home. Will this do the job? Is there any specific power req for the resistor?

Thx,
igy
