Hi,

i have a problem with a DC-Offset on the left channel output. I have two complete identical IVY III + COD (for two active speakers). Both setups show the same behavior (about 13mV offset on the left channel, 1-2mV offset on the right channel).

Is there a chance to null the dc-offset without output caps ?

I use a class D amplifier (Anaview AMS-1000) who don't like any dc-offset on the input.(1-2mv will be ok)

Cheers

Christian

Even 13mV is negligible, and will not cause any problems. That is a quite low value.

Thanks for the quick reply !

The Problem is, that the class D amp stutter with this little offset (the other channel runs perfect with the 1-2mV).

I think in this case you will need to add caps then.
thanks 1 user thanked Brian Donegan for this useful post.

Ok Thanks !

The Anaview class D amp has a low input impedance (about 1,4 KOhm) so i need the very low output impedance from the ivy stage ... is there a problem when I add the caps between the ivy and the amp (I calculate 8,2µF.. ) ?

Or is the better solution to add the caps (unkown values) between the I/V and IC2 (after R9 / R10) ?

I would go for 20-47uf right at the output of the IVY-III
