Hello - The IVY III has three DC inputs, Left, Right and Center. I looked at the schematic and it's not clear to me which to use when powering from a Placid HD BP.

Another question: My Ivy board is about three inches from the power supply. Would it be beneficial to have shielding between the IVYIII and Power supplies?

Thank - you,

RD

If you install jumpers J1-J4, you can power your IVY III from any of the three locations. The jumper option is for those who wish to power the I/V board with multiple power supplies. On my dual mono build, I power left channel of my Legato with one PS (J1 and J2 removed) and the right/middle section of board with another PS (J3 and J4 installed).

In this build I connected power to the left DC input on a Legato (J1-J4 jumpers installed). I didn't have any noise issues with this build (no shielding), and power supplies are within 3 inches of DAC, I/V and input board. I like to keep the transformers as far away as possible from DAC and I/V board.
