Hello,
I connected my BP Placid stage-III IVY I / V Stage with the following settings:

Voltage: 14.75 V
ccs current: 150mA
ccs shunt: 60 mA

This can be good, or do I have to change some settings of voltage or current?

I connected my placid hd 2.1 to my buffalo dac IIISE with the following settings:

Voltage 5.25 V
ccs current 520mA
ccs shunt 50mA

This can be good, or do I have to change some settings of voltage or current?

Kind regards

Does it play ?
Does it smoke ?

If it plays (and puts out a minimal amount of smoke) you're safe.

Keep an eye on the heat sinks temperature. If it gets "too" hot, trim down the current a bit. Always measure both voltage and current again after the rig has settled to steady state.

Keeping shunt below 60mA is the right thing to do. Then you will not have problems with heatsinks getting to hot.
