And what drop? What is the voltage from the transformer?

I'm guessing around 5% regulation, I haven't run the power supply calculation. Just more interested if the Placid is good for 24v at around 100ma if I use higher voltages. It appears the main cap is rated at 35v, just not sure about the other parts. I was also curious about the ripple since a PS manufacturer had one with less than 50micro volts ripple available at 24v. It would be nice to know this could be achieved with your power supply. Edited by user 13 years ago

I have not tried it at that voltage. But it should work fine so long as the drop is not too high. As for ripple, I doubt it would be any worse than what you mention. Very likely better. You would need to give it a try and measure.
