Well, the new kits will be shipping in the next couple weeks, so attention has turned back to Opus.

We have changed over to using DIPTrace for board design, and Russ has been hard at work on the revised layout. We will be ordering production Opus boards as soon as possible, probably in the next week or two.

The new layout will use the same schematic as the Beta boards (with slight mods to the error detection/muting), but will now be seperated into two boards: Receiver and DAC. The physical size of each board will be our standard 1.5" x 4", but each will have fewer components for a less congested layout.

The Reciever board will still accept single-ended or balanced S/PDIF input, but will now output I2S via a 5-pin header.

The DAC board will accept I2S input (5-pin header) and have balanced analog outputs.

Each board will be available seperately (bare board or complete part kit), and as a complete bundle with a LCPS power supply.

Pricing is not yet final, but we will post the details on the Opus page as soon as we have them.
