Hi,

Do the Placid BP need an 18 volt transformer to power an IVY II with 15 VDC? Or is a 15 Volt transformer enough? I've read somewhere that AC input needs to be at least 3 volts higher than the output.

I am thinking of buying another Opus and IVY for dual mono. Can a single Placid BP power 2 IVY boards and a Placid power 2 Opus DACs.

Thanks!!!

A 15VAC transformer, after rectification, will give you roughly 21VDC for feeding the shunt regulator, so a 15V transformer will be fine.

Yes to both.
