First,
Got my Buffalo32S and got it running with little to no issue - thing sounds unbelievably amazing, even without any time on the components. VERY natural sounding and non fatiguing - I could listen to this for days on end and not get bored. Bravo on a great sounding design!

Anyways, my question. I'd like to wire up headphone output as well as the single ended out. I think I understand how this would be done as described in other posts. My question is volume control. If I use the Volumite, could I control the volume to the headphones, but not affect what is sent to the SE out? If I'm using the normal SE outs (not headphone), how does the Volumite play into that? Essentially I want no volume adjustment out of the SE outs and volume adjustment on the headphones.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Thanks!

Aaron

The Volumite controls the volume output of the DAC chip. There is no way to use it to do what you want.

Will you be using the SE outputs and headphone outputs at the same time?

If not, you can just set the Volumite to full volume when using the line outputs, which it the equivalent of no Volumite.

Thanks for the reply. I won't be using the outputs at the same time. So, volumite fully 'on' is equal to no volumite. That will work fine then.

Thanks!
