Hi to all.
I'm new to the forum and just a couple of months user of buffalo 24.

I have just put the 24 and the counter points, along with 3 PS and 3 r-core transformers in a box and I was wondering if
1. I should draw lines from the mute and lock leds to the front panel of the box with an additional led parallel to each one or
2. I should de-solder the original leds from the board and transfer them to the front panel

to have a visual idea of what is going on when I power the dac...

What would you suggest ?

I would go for option 2. LEDs have a fairly sharp IV curve, so you can't easily parallel them - one of the pair will take most of the current, depending on the exact threshold voltage of the individual device.

Moving the LED is bound to work.
