So, here are my new twins. A pair of symmetrical TXO-2's. One will sit atop each speaker. I told Russ, after listening to them in the main system, that they were kinda creepy... like music arriving from deep space. The noise floor is just not there. Currently feeding them from my modded Sony CDP (Opus prototype DAC embedded) and Twisted X-Bosox with darwin and JT (will post pics of that as well). Will be switching to a TXD/JT/Darwin once I get another case and some more build time. These are in Antek 12x12x3 cases using Antek 400VA 20V+20V trafos. Note that I used dual rectifiers, just cause I have a bunch (parts guy, remember), not really needed though (kit only has one). Also note that the open case is missing it's fuse holder and chassis ground (ran out of fuse holders!). Chassis ground will run from IEC ground pin to chassis, with no connection to PS or amp. Hi Brian,
They look great. Can you advise what sort of power output we can expect with TXO-2? How do they sound say compaired to single ended leach etc? This balanced signal bussiness has got my interest for next project maybe.
Keep up the good work the both of you.
Ian.
