I have placed an order for the next release (July 13) of the Buffalo32S and power supply bundle. Since then there is word of another power supply option (Placid). So, a few questions arise. Should I consider buying this instead as an upgrade? Can I change my order anyway and is it even going to be available at around the same time and at what price?

At this point we do not even have boards, so the Placid is untested, other than simulations and proof-of-concept tests. We cannot say when it will be ready as it may require additional changes.

Placid should be very good. Its just we don't want to hype an untested circuit. :) I should have them in my hands next week and will probably have a prototype working next weekend. You can count on a report.

Cheers
