Hello,

I've currently received a Buffalo32 with a USB receiver board and 1x LCDPS, 2X LCBPS power supplies.

I'm also thinking that perhaps I want to have an S/PDIF input as well.

However, I want the best quality out of the USB receiver since it will be my primary use so I'd want it to output I2S only.

Would getting the Wolfson S/PDIF receiver module and wiring it in parallel be acceptable and only using 1 input at a time? Or would I also need to get an OTTO switch? Would I need to get an additional Powersupply board for the OTTO?

Would getting the 4:1 S/PDIF receiver be a better choice?

Many thanks,

Wai

You will get the same quality output if you use the USB via S/PDIF. You could then just use a simple switch to toggle back and forth.
