Russ, what do I need for getting the Buffalo32s down to 1.5v output for single ended or 3v balanced? (Direct connection to valve power amps on 1.5v input sensitivity.)

I'm guessing around 4 x 2.8K of 0.1% metal film resistors?

You will want 6.8K that will get you 3.074VRMS balanced, 1.537V SE.

Cheers!

Hi Russ, thanks for the information, I've just got the manual ;-) but looking at that, 6.8K seems a little high? If it is 2K for 2rms and 1,2K for 1.5vrms balanced? I'm sure you know what you are doing :-) I was just double checking and wondering how you calculated this?

So just to be clear, 4 resistors 0.1% Metal Film (at R47-50), at 6.8K
would do?

But the best I can find in 6.81K in RS is
Arcol Axial Metal Film 6.81kΩ 0.1% 0.25W RS Stock No. 487-6974

or at 6.8k but at 1% Tyco Metal Film 6.8Ω 0.6W
RS Stock No. 150-767

Which would be best?
Sorry to be a pain

I would use the .1%

You have to remember that the 6.8K is in parallel with 2K. :)

I checked the result by simulating it.

Cheers!
