Did anyone tried using other brands of resistor in JT?
Is IRC a good choice? Any recommendations?
Besides slightly better precision of volume level, is there any advantage of using 0.1% resistors?

What you want is resistors that will contribute as little noise to the signal as possible.
My experience is that any good film resistor is fine. If precision is not required it is perfectly fine to use 1% Rs.
You could go nuts and buy some really expensive Rs but I really would not suggest it.

All you will get from improved precision is, well, improved precision. 1% resistors will give you better precision than most pots. If you want to try IRC, here's a link to a Mouser project: https://www.mouser.com/P...aspx?AccessID=ea74e637ad(This Mouser feature is still a little quirky, and saving the ResDefs for each value seems to work, then they disappear.)

Precsion volume level is not important to me.
I just wonder if other resistors like IRC may give a perceivably different (and hopefully better) sound character comparing to Dale. From the answers it seems they may well be all the same.

There may very well be an audible difference between the two types, but the character and preference will be totally subjective, and we try, as a rule, to not comment on such things. Everyone has different ears. Both type of resistors will work very well with very low noise. If anyone else has an opinion on the sound of a type of resistor, feel free to post and discuss impressions and opinions.
