I noticed that on the new Buffalo32 there is optional thru-hole resistors for customizing output voltage. What values should I put here to get around 1V unbalanced and 2V balanced?

Excellent question. Can you please add the values for 4V rms for balanced ouputs. The way I understand the board there is no different signal path for balanced and unbalanced so I assume you can not have different voltage levels at the same time?

Which leads me to the question which lines to connect for a non inverting unbalanced output. gnd&+ or gnd&-

Cheers

Thomas

Standard output (SMD resistors) is 4V Balanced, 2V SE. For non-inverting SE, you take +Out and GND.

I need to double check the values to use for 2V balanced and 1V SE, but have to put the kids to bed first.

Those resistors are not finalized quite yet as we have found that we need to tweak some values to get the best DNR.

So more to come on this later. :)

Optional Rs open gets you 4VRMS balanced.
2K will get you 2VRMS balanced.
1K will get you ~1VRMS.

You can safely go down to about 357R.

Direct SE output is half the balanced output.

Cheers!

Nice, just what I was looking for. Are the resistors mounted on the bottom of the board?
