Im currently running the Buffalo with the IVY. Im considering getting the Counterpoint when that is out. Could I have the Buffalo connected to both say for running headphones with the IVY?

Yes, you could do it, but you would reconfigure the IVY as if it were for Opus and put it at the output of the counterpoint.

This is because you cannot have both connected to the output of the DAC, only one. The Counterpoint is a voltage source and the Opus setup is designed for a voltage source.

IVY should work great this way as a headphone amp or line driver.

I hope that helps!

Cheers!

I see. I was hoping to avoid the scenario you are describing. I guess I could put an OTTO after the DAC and switch between the IVY and Counterpoint. Thanks for the reply.
