Hi there, I would REALLY like some help here.

I use my buffalo 9018 dacs for events and built the 9038. Unfortunately its just too sensitive to power to be usable for an event, need some help here. Basically loses lock and music cuts out briefly.

I solved the problem in my old Buffalo dac by getting a power conditioner, but i wanted do know what else I could do to make the SPDIF more robust.

Firstly, needs to take SPDIF Consumer level from the cd player - this is fixed. Here are some ideas..

1. Use a TTL level converter to take it to 5v maybe at the source? then into the cable and the BIIISEPro (to 5v woudl be less sensitive to voltage fluctuations)
2. Use a Wolfson SPDIF receiver - will that perform more reliably than the onboard SPDIF in the BIIISE?
3. Use the TTL converter at the DAC end - it has isolating transformers

Any other ideas?

Thanks for your help everyone!
