Hello There, I am trying to get a FifoPi Ultimate work with Buffalo II/Mercury which got me thinking about the entire digital setup around the buffalo II as well: what to feed it with etc. I have grown fond of Ropiee and Roon and was hoping to feed it something better than a RBPi on its own. This opened the question of what best to use as source. Will also upgrade to the Buffalo III immanently if that helps. I believe the i2S connections Buffalo to FifoPi are as follows: D2 - SD/D1 D1 - LR/DO DCK - SCK GND - MLCK I am trying for asynchronous mode here with no cigar. I am not sure of the FifoPi outputs, but I know this is wrong:
GND - MLCK
You are grounding the master clock output. This should be connected to MCK input of the DAC. If your B2 is old enough to not have one, leave it unconnected.

I tried may variations with no success. No one seems to have done this so I am upgrading to the new BIII to get on a previously travelled path.
