I am in need of some advice regarding what components to purchase for a DAC to build. The PC will send the data via USB to the DAC and then the Pre-amp. I've read a lot of threads to help me choose the correct components, but as a 1st time builder we all have hesitations. So here goes. Please feel free to correct me or guide the choices I make.

1. Buffalo-IIIsePro38 Complete Kit Combo + Power Transformers
2. Amanero-Hermes-Cronus Combo
3. ARDUINO DUE and LCD readout for sample rate, filter choices, etc.
4. Case and supporting items.

What clock rate do I purchase for the build?
Are there ribbon cables and headers needed for this?
When will the Amanero combo board be available?

I've posted this at the DIYaudio site also. All suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

That looks about right.

You go in stages and use the Amanero board direct to Buffalo without the Hermes/Cronus, then add them later if you feel you need them.

If you do use them, the 4x clocks are the way to go.

Also, for the Arduino and display, that will require separate coding etc.
