I have a Buffalo IIISE with the ES9018 that I have used for a number of years and I like it very much. I now have a need to replace the DAC in the system my wife listens to. I have an DIYINHK AK4497 based DAC that I could use but I would like to replace the AD4497 DAC-I/V component with an ES9028 or ES9038 based unit. One of my options is to purchase the DIYINHK ES9028 DAC but I would prefer to use the Buffalo IIISEPro 9028 or 9038/Mercury combo if it will work with the power supplies I have in the DIYINHK system. The question is: Can I use the DIYINHK power supplies to power the Buffalo Pro/Mercury combination? I don't know enough about shunt power supplies to be able to answer this question. I have a number of each of the following power supplies; 0.8uV Ultralow noise DAC power supply regulator 3.3/5/7V 1.5A*x2 0.8uV Ultralow noise DAC power supply regulator +-9/12/15V 1.5A*x2 I appreciate your consideration of this question. Those will probably work fine.
5V for the DAC. +-15V for the Mercury.
