I just accidentally exposed the left channel of my buffalo dac to 20vDC and killed it. I can't believe that just happened, $500 down the drain. Is there a repair service offered by TP? Edited by user Friday, May 25, 2018 3:51:20 AM(UTC)

If you only fried the DAC you can replace it yourself if you're handy with a soldering iron - no special gear needed. I use ChipQuik for the desoldering. Its relatively easy once you learn the technique - or buy a replacement chip on Ebay and pay someone else to do it.
But it depends where you applied the over-voltage - if it was on VD in then you likely fried a bunch of stuff. Do the tridents still work? If so you may be in luck. If not then think of it as an opportunity to ugrade :-)
