ES9038 all powered up with correct voltages on all tridents, but no lock and the automute light only blinks once a couple of seconds after startup then goes off - which is not expected behaviour.

Solder joints all look fine. I can only assume something is wrong with the DAC

Hi Possum,

are you connecting it to an I2S source? If so, you need to set the switch (SW1, pos 1 to Off). Also, the automute is turned off by default also. Here are all the settings - https://github.com/twist...SE-Pro-On-Board-Firmware

I've had the same trouble thinking that Russ set the settings by default to I2S and automute, as on BIII.

Ahah! Thank God!

I guess Russ likes to keep us on our toes :-)

Will give it a go - thanks!

I now get random locks, clicking noise and low level distortion. DAC is doing something, but not sure if that is actual progress tho :-(
