My memory is sketchy over the past five years, but I remember that I ordered the single SPDIF adapter and couldn't get it to work. I ordered another single SPDIF adapter, and I never got it to work either. I think my problem may have been that I did not have the PCM and DSD jumpers installed. Do they need to be installed for single SPDIF input?

I later ordered a miniDSP miniStreamer, and tried to use its slave clock at DCK, LR Clock at D1, and Data at D2, while connecting all the PCM jumpers and switching off auto detect SPDIF. With the miniStreamer in slave configuration, it did not even show up on my computer. If I changed the miniStreamer to master configuration, it showed up but I didn't bother trying anything because the BIII manual says external master clock is unsupported.

I am also wondering, if I accidentally placed the Tridents on the wrong sides at some point would it break the DAC? I have never gotten this thing to work. I will say that I can power it on and all power supply, trident lights and the Mute light all come on. Just never a signal lock.

For S/PDIF, it was just D1 and the ground next to it for a shield. The shield looks to have been connected at both ends, (but possibly PSU ground at level converter). Looking at old photos. But at that time, I had no jumpers on the input, all jumpers on the output, and all switches set to the default OFF (2012).

Ordered a replacement with the new USB combo. I might be a little dense, but the new USB stuff doesn't seem to be covered in the BIII guide (says coming in 2013). Is there a guide for the Amanero-Hermes-Cronus Combo and connecting it to the BIII? Thanks!
