Multi channel Buffalo III not working as expected

Hi,
I'm setting up a multi-channel Buffalo III with 2 stereo I2S input channels and 2 stereo outputs. Buffalo is running the new firmware and the I2S source is a MiniSHARC.
Input configuration * Channel 1 is connected to input D2 on the Buffalo * Channel 2 is connected to input D4 on the Buffalo * D2 and D3 are linked using the jumper JPCM2 on the Buffalo * D4 and D5 are linked using the jumper JPCM1 on the Buffalo * JPCM3 is not fitted.
Output configuration * J7, J8 and J9, J10 are linked using jumpers to create 2 output channels (left) * J1, J2 and J3, J4 are using jumpers to create 2 output channels (right)
Buffalo configuration * All DIP switches are in default "on" position except for 2:5, which disables S/PDIF autodetect.
Expected behavior * With only 1 I2S input connected at D2 on the Buffalo, I'd expect to see a signal at Buffalo outputs 1,2,3,4. * With 2 I2S inputs connected at D2 and D4, respectively, I'd expect to see D2's signal at Buffalo outputs 1,2,3,4 and D4's signal at Buffalo outputs 5,6,7,8.
Actual behavior * With only 1 I2S input connected at D2 on the Buffalo I see its signal output at all 8 Buffalo channels.
The question I have is: why??? It's as if the input signal is bridged across D2, D3, D4, D5, but I've double checked that jumper JPCM3 is NOT fitted (only JPCM1 and JPCM2), so I don't understand why I see the signal at all the Buffalo's outputs.
Can anyone help diagnose, debug, or answer the question?
Thanks! Sparky

I found the issue: Leon van Bommel's Buffalo III manual v2.1.3 has a mistake on page 33 (maybe others, I haven't checked) where it states:
JPCM2 = joins inputs D2 + D3 JPCM3 = joins inputs D3 + D4 JPCM1 = joins inputs D4 + D5
After debugging the issue, I found that the actual jumper settings are:
JPCM1 = joins inputs D2 + D3 JPCM2 = joins inputs D3 + D4 JPCM3 = joins inputs D4 + D5
I reinstalled the jumpers according to the correct mapping and everything works as it should.
Cheers, Sparky
