I am trying to get a metronome to give 96 kHz 24 bit output without any input. What jumpers would I have to set to make that happen?

Perused the datasheet for the SRC4192 and found that your default values should work.
Feeding a 8804 the 8804 should operate in slave mode with jumpers:

AIF_MS - 0 ( slave mode)
TXSRC - 1 (I2S in)
AIFCONF1 - 0
AIFCONF0 - 1
(24 bit I2S)

I am hoping that Brian, Russ, or another generous forum member could try it like this(4192 -> 8804 -> SPDIF). I am getting just the non-audio light on.

Another possibility is that I have a broken board. If this works for someone else then I would like to troubleshoot. Unfortunately I only have a multimeter to make measurements.

edit: TI say a 4192 with no input should give a -135dB I2S output

With no source:
All clocks are 1.65v and the metronome data out pin is 0v
The mute pin is 0.63v
OWL0 pin which should be zero is 0.0v

With Weiliang USB to I2s converter(tested working):
Input clocks are 1.65V
Din is 1.28v (to Metronome)

All metronome clocks are 1.65v and the metronome data out pin is 0v
Mute pin is 1V
OWL0 pin which should be zero is 0.0v

Voltage across C1 is 3.3V
Any suggestions?

Switched it out for a known *not* working metronome and same measurements. Clocks but no data. I am starting to think the chips are bad

Unfortunately I don't have a test rig set up for that scenario - where you able to get it working?
