Hi,
Considering that the Opus DAC has volume control, has someone tried to connect it directly to a power amplifier?
Thank you for your input.
Regards

I tried it straight v out. It sounded good. Unfortunately I didn't have a good enough ADC to test it back then. v Edited by user Sunday, December 20, 2015 1:39:26 AM(UTC)

If you haven't purchased yet you might use the COD with a I/V resistor to ground. It sounds good as well and the chip has better performance in theory.

Do I need to connect the C5, C6, C7 and C8 capacitors if i am connecting the Opus DAC direct to the amplifiers balanced input of the amp. Do the CAPS block DC ? If the caps are not required do I put jumpers in the position where the caps would go?
Thanks for the help

If your amp can handle common mode DC on balanced inputs you can simply jumper across the caps. No need to remove them.
