I am trying to get sound out of the Buffalo-Ivy combo. :)
Where can I start to check to find the problem?
I have... - the buffalo hooked up to a LCDPS (2 x 7.5VDV) and Ivy to a LCBPS(+-15VDC). - With 7.5V VD and VA I see roughly 0.75 V on the buffalo output + and - versus GND. - No significant output voltages on the IVY, correct? - I use I2S input from the USB receiver module, hence 0,1,1,1 on the buffalo jumper switches and buffalo SPDIF to the off side. - the USB receiver and PSUs worked flawless (until unhooked last night) with the OPUS-Ballsie combo.
Q: If I understand the layout correctly, the lock/automute leds on the Buffalo are no requirement, right? Q: Can I check the buffalo board separately from the Ivy? E.g. hook the buffalo to the output (a balanced beta22) directly without chances of damage?

I would double check your I2S wiring. 1) Not required, but its helpful to have them. 2) Only if the beta22 does not mind 1.65V DC offset at the inputs. The best way to check that things are fine is to look for the lock LED to light up, or for its pin to go high. Cheers! Russ

A) I checked the voltage output on the lock and automute pins and assumed them high at 3.2V and low at 0V. Lock is high, automute low. B) I am really not well aware of the Beta22 possibilities... It is a DIYed beast and with my headphones I rather not risk trying.
I check all solder joints on the IVY components and found nothing.

I switched the digital out on the USB receiver from I2S to SPDIF and switched the buffalo accordingly. And voila, sound! And happy listening to buffalo (impressive already!).
It would be great to somehow get I2S working as well. I apologize if I have I missed some vital instructions, but do you have an idea why the I2S is not coming out even when there is a lock and automute is off?

When you say your switches are set for 0,1,1,1, you mean -,+,+,+, correct?
