I finally had some time to assemble my buffalo today, and even though the kits were very well packaged, the spdif switch had broken off from the board. Can I use a strap, or is the board useless?

Best regards
Stian

I just saw this. Under the switch is a pair of holes (2.54mm) where you can add a header or a wire jumper.

Did the legs of the switch break off? Can it be soldered back on?

Hi Brian,

The solderpads has followed the switch, so it can not be soldered back on.
Jumper for spdif and open for i2s?

Right now I plan to use only spdif, but in the future the plan was an empirical audio pacecar with reclocking for my RME FF400 interface.

Yes, on = s/pdif, off = I2S/DSD. I am at a loss as to how it broke.

Hi again,

Finally had some time to finish the buffalo this weekend, but I can not get any sound out of it. The automute led is constantly on, and there is no lock. Tried with and without jumper.
Any ideas where I should start looking for errors?

Best regards
Stian
