Hi,

I have been using BuffaloII and USB module for more than 3 years.
I would like to upgrade USB module with new Amanero and have some questions.

1. Can I just replace old USB module with Amanero? Or do I need Cronus to install Amanero?

2.On the picture of Amenero, I do not see LR Clock or Word Clock tab for I2S connection.
Is either one of 'FSCLK' or 'TWD.C' the same as WCLK?

Thank you.

1. Yes, you can use it as a direct replacement. If you want/need digital isolation from the computer's power supply and/or improved clocking of the I2S lines, you use the Hermes/Cronus, but it is not required.

2. Mapping is as follows:

DATA = DATA
BCLK = Bit Clock
FSCLK = Work Clock or LRCK (Frame Select Clock, Left Right Clock, Word Clock as all synonymous)
MCLK = Master Clock
GND = GND

If you want to use it directly, I can supply a 6-pin connector that will plug in. You wire it to exclude the DSDOE pin (and optionally MCK pin), then direct to the DAC you are using. Just add a note to your order when ordering. I can also flash it appropriately.
