Brian or Russ:

If I want to set a Placid HD for 3.3volts, what secondary voltage on transformer would you recommend?

I'm ordering a custom toroid, and I want to add additional set of secondaries in case I want to separately power a USB interface at 3.3volts in the future.

Thanks,
Doug Riedel

Actually, please let me know if 9Volt would be ok or if it is too high. If 9 volts is ok I want to use it in case instead I add another DAC device.

Thanks

Russ,

It will be for a Rigisystems USBPAL interface, and according to the specs it draws 0.132 amp.

Thanks,
Doug

P.S.: I happen to have an extra Placid HD (not 2.1) which is why I'm considering this. Is the adjustable Pot. able to get voltage to 3.3v, or are modifications required?

Easy enough to test :)

I think the 9V trafo should be fine for that application.
