Good Morning

I am hoping someone can help with what is probably a simple question. I have a Marantz SA8003 with a damaged audio board but the transport section is fine and it is possible to get a PCM digital signal from the digital output that connects to another DAC so the transport and servo board section is still working OK.

I want to replace the entire audio board section with the Buffalo 111 SE DAC board and an output stage but before I order the parts I wanted to confirm that I can take the SACD DSD signal from the Marantz servo board and feed it into the Buffalo input, it appears from the Buffalo manual that this is just 4 connections.

I have attached a JPG of the schematic of the Marantz SA8003 showing the relevant connector where the servo board connects to the audio board, I just need to confirm which pins to use for the connection to the Buffalo input. I only want the DSD signal as this player will be for SACD only.

Regards

Phil

It should work. You will need DSDL (Pin 12 I think), DSDR (Pin 10), BCK (Pin 8) and GND.

BCK -> DCK
DSDL -> D1
DSDR -> D2
GND -> GND
