Hi,

My Buf II has been working normally for some years. I recently removed the AVCC module in order to switch from SPDIF to I2S so I could start testing the BBB-Hermes-Chronus system. After some testing, I realized that I had assembled back the module in the wrong direction.

After correcting this, I checked there was 3.5V at both outputs of the AVCC module, but the DAC was not working correctly:

- With I2S input (from Chronus): when I start playing music, the mute led switchs of and the lock switchs on, but I cannot hear any music.

- SPDIF input: the mute led is always on and lock is always off. If I play music nothing happens.

Could I have damaged the ESS9018 chip?
