The USB Receiver/DAC will not handle DSD.
It used the old PCM2707 chip, and produces 16-Bit (44/48kHz) I2S only.

I would suggest this one: http://www.amanero.com/It's also supported by a TPA Hermes module if you want to expand on it's capabilities later on.

That is correct, except you do not need MCK for Metronome input (yellow line). It will generate it's own MCK output.

Hi,
I'm not sure I understand...will the amanero and the metronome send PCM to the opus dac in this configuration in picture? How would you do it to send direct DSD from the amanero to the Opus DAC? something like a bypass to metronome?
Thanks

You would need something like an OTTO-II to switch between PCM and DSD
Cheers! Russ

Ok, The amanero provides de DSD clock to the DSD inputs of the OPUS DAC, but woudl it be a good idea to put the amanero providing MCLK to Opus DAC and other digital equipments like for example the Metronome? Thanks Edited by user Monday, September 14, 2015 1:31:29 PM(UTC)

Hi,
After four years without any time to deal with this project, I'm very very glad to let you know I've finally achieved audio Nirvana with this very complicated project for me.
With the dual mono configuration (Hardware, balanced outputs), I got this thing to beat a NAD M51 in terms of sweetness and vocal clarity. Please keep in mind that a new NAD cost around 2.5 times when new.
Native DSD seems to present better instrument realism, although with a sound that seems more laid back in the sound stage when compared with the previously mentioned reference. Although NAD could deliver more punch, this setting of the OPUS delivers a more musical presentation, with a lot and I mean a lot of beauty.
NOTE: If you like a stream solution, the pairing with a Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra makes an amazing pair for, for example, Tidal or even Linn and other audiophile radios on the internet.
PS: I might through a note or two along with further experiences with this, here on the Forum. See you soon and a big thank you for your patience.
