Loving my buffaloII-IVYII setup and am driving my main system from the single ended outs. I want to add some headphones (hifiman he-400. 32ohm 92db) on the IVY balanced outs controlled by volumite. Headphones will be unhooked when not in use and volumite back on full to pass volume duties off to preamp. So, no problems driving the single ended and the phones at the same time (volume down on main system)? And the output resistors 25/26,27/30 should be removed and jumped? Output resistors 28/29 remain. Correct? Just don't want to do anything to disrupt the fine sound I enjoy. Thanks for the outstanding product and I'm looking forward to the upcoming cape! Correct, no problem. Just make sure that your cans hasn't got a common ground. 2 wires for left, 2 wires for right. Originally Posted by: dblnickels And the output resistors 25/26,27/30 should be removed and jumped? Output resistors 25/26 remain.
No harms done trying the system with the resistors R27/28/29/30 in place. When everything is running as expected, you can short R27/28/29/30 (jumper). Edited by user Monday, February 9, 2015 7:42:55 PM(UTC)

Thanks much! I will give stock a go first. I edited initial post to resistors 28/29 remaining, not 25/26 as initially posted.
Cheers.

27/28/29/30 is BAL output. Those are the once you can short.
25/26 is single ended output to preamp. Better keep those.
