Hello,
Is signal ground connection between Legato and Sympatico needed when working fully balanced?

Initially i connected all 3 wires on both sides, but not long ago i noticed that one of my Sympatico sound a bit different. When i checked i found that ground connection between Legato and Sympatico got loose. So i removed ground on both channels and listened more. I noticed it sounds almost the same, but with less emphasis on highs, cleaner and with deeper sound soundstage.. I like it better this way subjectively so now i'm not sure which connection is more correct...

Also, previosly my test assembly (no enclosure yet) was affected by the cell phone RF during incoming calls, but once i disconnected the ground it no longer seem to happen...Eh?

P.S. Sympatico is an amazing amp Applause

You do not need the ground. Connecting it should not make a difference, unless there is a loose connection/ground loop somewhere else in the layout.
